XIXth century: Charleroi is the first centre of world window glass production. Because of economic or legal reasons, or to spread their knowledge, glassblowers left Belgium to go overseas. This exhibition gives an outline of window glass technical developments from the XIVth century and of the glassblowers emigration during the XIXth and the XXth centuries.
