The Museum of Fine Arts presents you with an
ensemble of works covering the important artistic trends to arrive
on the Belgian art scene in the 19th century and which evolved through
to the 20th century: neo-classicism, realism, social realism, impressionism,
expressionism, surrealism, abstraction. Renown and History: Witness to the collective memory, guardian of the national heritage, the museum continues its sensitive and dynamic work: temporary exhibitions, animated tours, conferences, creative workshops, concerts, etc. A whole range of events that help make the young public aware of the different aspects of art. The non-profit-making association, "Friends
of the Museums of Charleroi" was set up in 1987 with the aim
of promoting the museums of Charleroi. It takes an interest in all
activities directly associated with the organisation. |
